Joskus täytyy vaihtaa tietä, löytää keitaan ääreen suorin reitti

Moi! Ja mukavaa alkanutta viikkoo kaikille. Mie tosiaan vanhenin taas vähä viikonloppuna, ja vaikken mitään juhlia pitänykään, niin sain kuitenkin muutaman lahjan. Niistä isoin onkin ekassa kuvassa (jossa näkyy kylläkin vaan boksi), elikkä uus puhelin, jonka sain perheeltäni. (En oo vielä ottanu sitä käyttöön, kun oottelen tilaamaani koteloo eka.) Kumppani taas muisti minuu musiikilla sekä uusilla kuulokkeilla.

Yks pitkäaikaisimmista ystävistäni teki yllätysvisiitin synttäripäivänäni ja toi mystisen kirjekuoren, josta paljastu nätti kortti ja rannekoru. :> 

Oon fiilistelly koko viikonlopun ja tän alkuviikon WÖYH!:n uutta albumii Dwzyrekii, joka ilmesty perjantaina mut jonka sain ostettuu vasta tänään, kun paikallisella levyliikkeellä oli ollu kuljetusongelmia eikä levyjä ollu saatu ilmestymispäiväks. Onneks se oli kuitenkin Spotifyssa.

 

Ja tossa oikeella on kuva miun gradun tutkimussuunnitelmasta, joka oli eilen käsittelyssä ja tarkastelun kohteena. En tiiä, kiinnostaako teitä ketään e-urheilu, mut ite oon aika liekeissä graduaiheestani. ^_^

Hi! I hope your week has been nice so far. So, I aged on last weekend and received some gifts, though I didn't throw any parties or anything. The biggest one is on the first photo (though you can see only the box there), that is a new phone that my family gave me. (I haven't yet started using it, though, because I'm waiting to get a flip case I ordered first.) My partner gave me the new Nightwish album and new headphones.

One of my most long-term friends made a surprise visit on my birthday and brought me a mysterious envelope containing a pretty card and a bracelet. :>

I've been enjoying the new album Dwzyrek by WÖYH! during the last few days. It came out on Friday but I could buy it just now, since the local record store had some problems with shipping and they didn't get the records until this week. Fortunately it was on Spotify.

And there, on the right, is a photo of my research plan for my master's thesis that is about the Finnish eSports commentary on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. I don't know if any of you is interested in eSports, but I'm quite excited about the topic of my thesis. ^_^

Tänään on kansainvälinen kääntäjienpäivä. Sopivasti päiväni alkoikin käännöstunnilla. En nyt aio pitää mitään paasausta kääntäjien paskasta asemasta, mut kehotan kuitenkin miettimään vähän sitä, miten tärkeitä käännökset oikeesti on ja miten suuri osa meiän lukemista teksteistä on käännöksiä.

Tänään on ollu aika väsynyt olo. Tutut univaikeudet on taas palanneet hankaloittamaan elämää, ja viime yönäkään en nukkunu juuri ollenkaan. Yliopistolla oli ihan kuollut olo, joten päätin sitten lähteä kesken päivän kotiin lepäilemään eli kirjottamaan tätä. :p

Tykkään päivän asustani, ja se tais antaakin voimaa ylipäätään raahautuu ekalle tunnille. On myös ihan siistii, että pystyn jo melkein piiloutuman tukkani taakse. En tiiä, pitäskö kasvatella etutukkaa sen verran, että siitä sais semmoset suojaverhot. Sit vois vaan kömpii jonnekin nurkkaan ja vetää tukan naaman eteen ja piiloutuu maailmalta, jos siltä tuntuu.

Tykkään myös uusista kengistäni, jotka ostin viime viikolla Anttilasta alennusmyynnistä ja joita käytin tänään ekaa kertaa. Itse asiassa kattelin noita kenkiä jo keväällä, kun ne tuli uutuutena, mut en raaskinu ostaa sillon. Yleensä ootankin, että himoitsemani vaatekappaleet tulee alennukseen, ja yleensä se kannattaa. Lisäks oon muutaman kerran löytäny myös käytettynä juttuja, joita oon ihastellu kaupassa täyshintaisena. Kirpparit on aarreaittoja.

Ja kirppareista puheen ollen: yliopistolla oli tänään pienimuotoinen opiskelijoitten kirppis, josta mukaan tarttu toi ylläoleva vampyyrikirja. En ookaan kyseiseen teokseen törmänny ennen, mut toi vaikuttaa ihan pätevältä ja monipuoliselta opukselta.

Nyt vois keitellä iltapäiväkahvit ja yrittää tehä vielä jotain hyödyllistä. (Voi kyllä olla, että päädyn vaan lukemaan tota kirjaa, mut onneks lukeminen ei koskaan oo ihan hyödytöntä.)

Today is International Translation Day. Conveniently my day started with a translation lesson. I'm not going to rant about translators' shitty position, but I hope you all think a bit about it how important translations really are and how big part of everything we read are translations.

Today I've been feeling quite tired. Familiar sleeping problems have come back to complicate my life, and last night I didn't really get much sleep. I felt like a walking dead on the university, so I decided to skip the last lesson and come home to rest, or write this. :p

I like my outfit of the day, and I think it gave me strength to even go to the first lesson today. It's also quite cool that I can already almost hide behind my hair. Maybe I should let my fringe grow, so that it would turn into a safety curtain. Then I could just crawl into some corner and pull the hair all over m face and hide there from the world, if I felt like it.

I also like my new shoes that I bought last week on sale and that I wore today for the first time. Actually I checked the shoes already on spring when they had such arrived in the store, but I couldn't afford them then. Usually I wait that the pieces of clothing I desire come on sale, and usually it's worth it. Few times I've also found on flea markets some things I've admired in stores. Flea markets are real treasure troves.

And speaking of flea markets: today there was a small students' flea market at the university, and I bought that vampire book from there. I haven't earlier stumbled on the book in question, but it seems like a diverse and valid tome.

Now I could brew some afternoon coffee and try to do look something useful. (I might just end up reading that book, but fortunately reading is never totally useless.)

[Casual]

Aattelin muutaman melko arkisen kuvan avulla esitellä vähä sitä, mitä oon puuhaillu viime päivinä (eli en oikein mitään kummempia). Perjantaina olin tosiaan tentissä, ja samalla reissulla kävin myös hakemassa uuden lukuvuositarran opiskelijakorttiin ja uuden kalenterin (joka on aika hirvittävä, pitänee hivenen koristella sitä) sekä ostamassa uudet stabilot mm. muistiinpanojen tekoa varten. Illalla pääsin sit merkkailemaan kalenteriin jo syksyn kursseja, joita on kylläkin näillä näkymin aika säälittävästi. Alan olla niin pitkällä opinnoissani, että jäljellä on enää lähinnä itsenäistä opiskeluu. Möh.

Lauantai meni ihan rentoutuessa, mut sunnuntaina oli tiedossa kirpparireissu ja kauhuleffailta erään hyvän ystäväni kanssa. Oli tosi kiva päivä! Kirppariltakin löyty muutama nätti paita. Liikkeellä olin Alice Cooper -bändipaidassa sekä polvipitusissa epäsymmetrisen värisissä haaremihousuissa. Noi on muuten ekat haaremihousut, joita oon koskaan käyttäny. Ostin ne tässä kesällä nettikirppikseltä, enkä oo vielä oikein tottunu siihen, miten oudoilta noi tuntuu päällä. :D Mut pidän niitä ihan siistin näkösinä kyllä.

Tänään oon hoidellu jotain juttuja; kävin muun muassa kampaajalla sekä hakemassa tutkintotodistuksen, wuhuu. Oon nyt siis humanististen tieteiden kandidaatti. Vaikka se on vaan tommonen melko turhanpäivänen välitutkinto, niin on kyllä ihan kiva kuitenkin, että on jokin "oikeekin" tutkinto yo-tutkinnon lisäks. Taitaa kyllä oikeesti molemmat olla yhtä turhanpäiväsiä. :D Mut, noh, maisteria ootellessa. Ei siihenkään pitäs enää kovin pitkään mennä.

Yritän aktivoituu syksyn tullen taas bloggailunkin saralla ja tehä jotain kunnollisiakin postauksia. Lomaa on onneks vielä kolmisen viikkoo jäljellä. Viikonlopuks oon lähössä anoppilaan, ja meinasin ton sydänkäpyseni kanssa käydä siellä semmosessa kotieläinmetsässä, joten ehkäpä vaikka siitä saisin jotain asiaa tänne! Eläimet on parhaita. ♥

I decided to use some casual photos to tell what I've been doing during the last few days (that is nothing really special). On Friday, I had an exam, and then I also got a new sticker for my student card and a new calendar (that is quite hideous, I probably have to decorate it a bit) and I also bought new stabilos for note-taking, for example. In the evening I started to mark the upcoming courses on the calendar, but sadly I'll be having only a few courses. I'm starting to be so advanced in my studies that there's mostly just some independently done studies left. Nah.

Saturday I spent just relaxing, but on Sunday I was supposed to go to a flea market and to have a horror movie evening with a good friend of mine. It was so much fun! I also found a few pretty shirts on the flea market. I was wearing an Alice Cooper band shirt and knee-length, asymmetrically coloured shalwar. Those are the first shalwar I've ever worn. I bought them on a web flea market earlier this summer, and I still haven't quite got used to how weird it feels to wear them. :D But I think they are pretty cool-looking.

Today I, among other things, went to the hairdresser's and got my diploma, yay. So now I'm a Bachelor of Arts. Though it's just a pretty useless waypoint degree, it's cool to have some "real" degree in addition to the degree you get from high school. But I guess they both are equally useless. :D But, well, waiting for becoming a Master. Though there shouldn't be so much waiting anymore.

I'll try to become more active with blogging when the autumn falls and try to make some proper posts. Luckily I still have about three weeks left of my holidays. The weekend I'm going to spend at my partner's parents' place, and me and my amoretto are going to visit a petting zoo there, so maybe there'll be some talk about that here! Animals are the best. ♥
