A new doll in the house

Sain lopultakin lisäystä Monster High -"kokoelmaani" satuttuani eilen huomaamaan Citymarketin tarjouslehtisestä, että Scarisin Catrine DeMew on alennuksessa tästä päivästä alkaen. Aamulla (tai, no, aamupäivällä) piti sitten tietenkin kiertää kaupan kautta ihan kissaneidin takia.

Catrine onkin ensimmäiseni Scaris-sarjasta. Skelitaa oon kuolannut sen ilmestymisestä asti, mutta en oo (vielä) raaskinut hankkia sitä. Tätä nukkee oon kyllä silmäillyt kiinnostuneena kaupan hyllyillä aiemminkin, joten ilahduin kyllä, kun sen hinnasta putosi osa pois.

Catrinehän on vissiin "ihmiskissataiteilija". Nukke on varustettu kissankorvilla sekä tietenkin viehkeällä (eli aika hirvittävällä) hännällä. Taiteiluvälineet kulkevat mukana lanteilla keikkuvassa vyössä. Tykkään muuten kovasti noiden vaatteiden värimaailmasta.

Onnistuin sit nappaamaan hivenen viallisen yksilön. Kuten kuvasta näkyy, toisen kengän korko on liimautunut itse kenkään kiinni tolleen tyhmästi. Lisäksi nuken polvet on aika karkeen näköset, ja jaloista muutenkin tursu liimaa, kun avasin paketin.

Vihaan tota tukkaa. Tän kanssa on vähän sama juttu kuin rullailu-Ghoulian, eli noi liimakiharat on se juttu, josta en pidä. En oo vielä saanut aikaiseksi tuunailla Ghouliankaan tukkaa, joten voisin operoida molempia nukkeja sit samalla kertaa. Catrinelle saattas sopii semmonen lyhyempi polkkatukka, tai sit vaan yritän saada noi kiharat suoriksi. Noi näyttää ja tuntuu tosi epäaidoilta.

Mut joo, kaiken kaikkiaan nukke on ihan nätti ja kiva. Toi häntä on kyllä tosi ruma, ja se pysyy huonosti paikallaan, ja joitain muitakin vajavaisuuksia toki on, mut en kadu nuken ostamista. Noi kengät vähän harmittaa, mut toisaalta ne on kyllä muutenkin hieman rumat, joten väliäkö tuolla. :D

Finally my Monster High "collection" got some increase as I happened to notice yesterday that Scaris Catrine DeMew is going to be on sale from this day on. So of course this morning I went to the shopjust because of the cat missy.

Catrine actually is my first of the Scaris series. I've been drooling over Skelita right from its release, but I haven't (yet) felt like I have extra money to put into it. This doll I've been eyeing up on the shop shelves before, so I was delighted to see it on sale.

I've understood that Catrine is a "werecat artis". The doll is gifted with cat ears and a charming (or pretty horrible) tail. She has a belt on her hips, and the artistic materials are hanging on the belt. By the way, I really like the colours of those clothes.

I managed to grab an individual that is a bit faulty. As you can see, the heel of the other shoe has stuck to the shoe in that kind of stupid way. Additionally, the knees look pretty coarse, and the feet had glue all over them, when I opened the packet.

And I hate that hair. It has the same problem that the hair of roller Ghoulia: I really don't like those glue curls. I haven't yet managed to personalize Ghoulia's hair, so I guess I could operate both dolls in the same time. I think a shorter bob cut could suit Catrine, or then I just try to straighten those curls. Those look like and feel so unnatural. 

But in general the doll is quite beautiful and cool. The tail is pretty ugly, and it doesn't stick very well to its place, and sure there are some other flaws as well, but I do not regret buying the doll. Those shoes irritate me a bit, but then again, they are pretty ugly after all, so I guess that heel thing doesn't matter so much. :D

Ants in my pants!

Muutin vuosi sitten nykyiseen asuntooni, eikä tää vuosi oo ollut mitenkään kovin ruuusuinen. Tänä aikana on ehtinyt olla kaksi peräkkäistä remonttia samasta syystä, ja niiden takia en oo läheskään vuotta tässä pystynyt aktivisesti asumaan. Ja ei niissä remonteissa mitään, mut nyt oon havainnut ongelman, joka meinaa käydä henkisen hyvinvoinnin päälle.

Muurahaiset. Oonkin tainnut kertoo muurahaisfobiastani täällä. Niitä asustelee ilmeisesti seinän välissä, koska niitä on nyt pariin otteeseen tunkeutunut lattialistojen alta/yli miun pieneen kotikoloon, joka ei tunnu enää ollenkaan yhtä turvalliselta suojapaikalta kuin ennen. :< Itkun kanssa ja iho kananlihalla oon niitä liitskannut ja myrkyttänyt. Ilmeisesti muurahaismyrkkyni kuitenkin tehoaa kunnolla, koska muurahaiset eivät oo enää uudestaan samasta kohdasta ängenneet sisään, mut eipä kyllä oikeestaan tarviis tulla mistään.

Miusta tuntuu, että en hirveen pitkään tässä kyllä haluu asuu, jos noista muurahaisista tulee vaikka jokavuotinen ongelma. Viime keväänä en tähän aikaan kyllä huomannut mitään, mutta eka remontti alkoikin melko pian muuttoni jälkeen, joten en hirveen pitkään ees ollu paikalla tarkkailemassa tilannetta. Mut enpähän taida enää jatkossa muuttaa maantasoon.

Toivon kyllä vakaasti, että ne kirotut olennot oppis jo, ettei tää oo hyvä paikka niille. :/ Mut sit muihin juttuihin! Ostin tämmösen söpön "voodoo"nuken:

Laitoin sen laukkuun roikkumaan, niin se kulkee aina mukana. Vissiin noi nuket on herättäny "valveutuneiden kansalaisten" huomion. :D Hahah. Vaikka joku noihin uskoisikin, niin noi nukethan kuitenkin kaikki on hyvällä asialla. Joku auttaa uskomaan itseensä, toinen lievittää stressiä ja kolmas parantaa keskittymistä. Ei kuulosta kovin pahalta ainakaan miusta.

A year ago I moved into my current apartment, and this year hasn't been that rosy. During this time, there have been two successive renovations for the same reasons, and because of that I haven't been able to live here for the whole year. And the renovations weren't that bad, but now I've noticed a problem that isn't very good for my mental health.

Ants. I think I've told here about my ant phobia. Apparently they live behind the walls, because for a couple of times they have pushed their way under/over the mouldings into my little home that doesn't feel at all as safe haven than before. :< With crying and goose bumps I've squashed and poisoned them. But apparently my pesticide is really efficient, because the ants haven't come through in the same spot, but I'd be happier if they didn't come through anywhere.

I think I'm not going to live here very long, if the ants will be a yearly problem. Last spring I didn't notice anything, but the first renovation started pretty soon after I moved in, so I weren't very long ever here watching the situation. But I guess I won't ever again move into an apartment that's at the street level.

I truly hope those damned creatures would learn already that this isn't good place for them. :/ But then some other stuff! I bought a cute little "voodoo" doll. I fixed it to hang from my bag, so I'll have it always with me. Evidently those dolls have attracted the attention of some "aware citizens", because somebody has created an online petition for removing the dolls from stores. :D Hahah. Even someone believed in those dolls, they are all for a good cause. One helps to believe in yourself, the other reduces stress and the other helps focusing. I don't think it sounds that bad.
