My first gothish shoes

Aattelin nyt esitellä teille ihkaensimmäiset gootahtavat kenkäni satuttuani kuvailemaan niitä tuossa eräänä kauniina päivänä. Eka suunnittelin nimittäin niitten myymistä, koska en oo käyttäny niitä vähään aikaan, mut en sit raaskinutkaan, koska kengillä kuitenkin sattuu olemaan aika paljon tunnearvoa.

Kyseessä on siis tommoset Destroy-merkkiset popot, jotka ostaessani olin jotain 13 tai 14, eli kengät on pyöriny kenkäkaapeissa jo vajaan kymmenen vuotta, mikä tekee niistä itse asiassa pisimpään omistamani kengät. Käytin noita yläasteella ja lukiossa tosi ahkerasti, vaikka pikkuhiljaa goottikenkäkokoelma laajenikin. Itse asiassa tanssin myös wanhojen tanssit noissa, syystä että parini oli reilut 20 senttii minuu pitempi, eli tarvitsin ite vähä lisäpituutta, ja sit toisaalta hameeni oli niin pitkä, ettei sieltä alta kyllä näkyny, vaikkei tanssahdellutkaan ihan siroissa kengissä.

Onhan noi nimittäin aika jykevät eivätkä kovinkaan naiselliset, mutta noi on myös äärettömän mukavat ja hyvät jalassa. Noilla tallustelee edelleen ihan huoletta pitempiäkin matkoja, vaikka yliopistoelämä onkin pehmentäny minuu ja totuttanu jalkani matalampiin kenkiin. Mut silti on noi erittäin mukavat.

Mut joo, ei enää oikein tuu käytettyy noita. Noiden kanssa on vähä hankala keksii mitään sopivaa asua, koska noi on vähä liian jämerät hameiden kanssa käytettäviksi, enkä kovinkaan usein viihdy housuissa. (Tänään oli housupäivä, kuten kuvista näkyy.) Mut en siltikään raaski myydä noita. Enkä tiiä, kelpaiskokaan noi enää kellekään.

I thought to present to you my first gothish shoes, since I happened to photograph them one beautiful day. You see, first I planned on selling them, because I haven't worn them for a while, but then I couldn't do it, because the shoes happen to be of great sentimental value.

So the shoes at stake are those by Destroy. I was about 13 or 14 when I bought them, so they've been settling in my shoe cabinets for almost ten years, which in fact makes them the shoes I've owned for the longest time. I wore them regularly on secondary school and high school, though little by little my collection of goth shoes was expanding. In Finland we have a tradition that the second years of high school have this kind of prom called "Wanhojen tanssit" ("the Dance of the Old" or something like that), because they become the eldest students after the third years start preparing for their final exams. So, I actually danced then on those shoes, because my partner was over 20 cm taller than me, so I needed some extra height, and my skirt was so long nobody saw beneath it that I was dancing in not-so-delicate shoes.

One must admit the shoes are pretty sturdy and not very feminine, but they are also extremely comfortable and good to use. I still can have without worrying even longer walks in those, though I've become softer during my university years and my feet have got used to flatter shoes. Nevertheless, those are very comfortable.

But yeah, I don't really wear the shoes very often anymore. It's pretty hard to develop outfits fitting with those shes, because they are a bit too robust to wear with skirts, and I don't feel comfortable in trousers very often. (Today was a trouser day, ad you can see from the photos.) But still I can't sell them. And I don't know if anyone would even want those anymore.
