Mut toi paita on kyllä oikeesti voittamaton.

orava kalpenee
Hutera lintu aikoo niellä
sienen lakkeineen

Viittoilee siivin luokseen
upea tattmaa
Sukella kanssain unten vuokseen,
taivaan tähtien taa

Pensaiden käyneet marjat
ahnaalle tarjoutuu
Haroen tarhaa, ruokkii harhaa,
puskaan sammuu

koukkunokka

Argh, the heat and children screaming outside get on my nerves. (I live right next to a day-care center.) I really am not a summer person. Black clothes and scorching sun are always surely a winner's choice. But that shirt really is a winner's choice. I feared it might be too colourful or glaring, but it's just perfecto.

(some lyrics of the song Koukkunokka by WÖYH!)

Does any of you happen to listen to WÖYH! ? You should at least try, if you haven't already. There is my favourite song by the band with a music video.

    1. Umm, I guess their genre is avant-garde art rock or something like that. :D Maybe you know the Finnish band Stam1na? WÖYH is the side project of Stam1na's singer Antti Hyyrynen and his brother that's from YUP. They released their first album called IKKILLYK this spring, and it's pretty sea-themed.

The song I linked there tells about a sperm whale (that's "kaskelotti" in Finnish) that tries to persuade a seagull to come sit on its back. The sperm whale says he takes the seagull to a lovely island that is so far the seagull won't be able to get itself. But really that's a trap and the sperm whale would like to eat the seagull. :D

And my shirt is made from the song called Koukkunokka ("a hooked beak"), and it tells about a bird that tries to swallow mushrooms whole. The beautiful mushrooms attract the bird, and the bird eats also some fermented berries and finally passes out. :D

      Hope that helped. :D

  2. Oh that's so fascinanting!
I think I'm gonna definetely keep an eye to this band!
Oh yeah, I know Stam1na, they're so cool!
I noticed this thing: in general finnish bands sings a lot about nature, it's just a coincidence or it's because finland cares a lot about nature, the earth and stuff?
For example the word Maailma is almost in every song :D I love nature so I totally agree with that :D

    1. Hmm I don't know about that. I guess nature is somewhat important to us Finns, because there are so many forests and lakes and stuff in Finland. But I don't know. :D

Tuo paita on mainio!
